Possible. But even if, that doesn't tell us whether it's eventually from the native word for "having an empty stomach" or from the Arabic word for "day". صبحانه also has a suffix and is still from Arabic. When you look at "sobhâne" and "shâm", both originally referring to a time of day, it becomes even more likely that the same is true for "nâhâr". 90.186.72.174 03:23, 21 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
