Middle Persian etymology 𐭫𐭣𐭭𐭤 (im, “this”)
[edit]@Karaeng Matoaya The etymology given for this word includes 'Middle Persian 𐭫𐭣𐭭𐭤 (im, “this”)'. I'm no expert in Middle Persian or Inscriptional Pahlavi, but just looking up the letters 𐭫𐭣𐭭𐭤, they seem to have no relation to 'im'. Instead, these letters would be transcribed as something like "ldnh" or "rjnh". Is this some kind of logogram/heterogram? Can a source be cited for this etymology?
