Etymology
[edit]I see no evidence provided that this is borrowed from Aramaic. In:
- Klein, Ernest (1987) “קְלִפָּה”, in A Comprehensive Etymological Dictionary of the Hebrew Language for Readers of English[1], Jerusalem: Carta, →ISBN, page 581(?)
- Klein, Ernest (1987) “קלף”, in A Comprehensive Etymological Dictionary of the Hebrew Language for Readers of English[2], Jerusalem: Carta, →ISBN, page 581(?)
It just says "Formed from קלף with first suff. ◌ָה.", and then קלף has various Semitic cognates but there is no indication of borrowing. 70.172.194.25 06:43, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
