@msh210: I think you may have been mistaken in adding this sense, at least as Hebrew. I looked at the link and it seems like Rabbeinu Chananel's commentary is just translating the Gemara: בני ביישן נהוג דלא הוו אזלין [...], leaving the placename unchanged. Note also that the elision that led to this form, is perfectly regular in Jewish Babylonian Aramaic. --WikiTiki89 19:51, 22 March 2017 (UTC)

I guess it's always hard to tell (absent italics or the like) when a text is using a word that's in another language and when, on the other hand, it's using a word borrowed from another language into its own. But if we can find three uses like R. Chanan'el's (viz, where the word appears in running Hebrew text, even if it might be an interpolated Aramaic word), it's fair to keep it as Hebrew. Wikitiki89, I really do suspect the three exist, and it's Hebrew, which is why I am loath to remove it. If you know it to be Aramaic, then by all means add it as such on this page and then I would be less loath to remove it (since people will see it on the page, at least).
