@Atitarev, Cinemantique, Wikitiki89 How is this pronounced? Benwing2 (talk) 12:31, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
- I have no idea, but there is a bug in the pronunciation module because if this was pronounced as spelled, it would be [xs], not [ɣs]. --WikiTiki89 15:30, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
- This is fixed in my sandbox module (Module:User:Benwing2/ru-pron). Benwing2 (talk) 15:46, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
- It will be pronounced as the appropriate full terms. I'd leave this entry without pronunciations.--Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 20:06, 17 November 2015 (UTC)

(Notifying Atitarev, Cinemantique, Useigor, Wikitiki89, Stephen G. Brown, Guldrelokk, Fay Freak, Tetromino, Per utramque cavernam): How is его́ зна́ет in хуй его́ зна́ет best translated? Literally it appears to be "he doesn't know him" but that doesn't make a lot of sense; maybe the хуй modifies the grammar in some way? Benwing2 (talk) 18:05, 2 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Benwing2 I always thought that хуй also means “nobody”, not only “nothing” as it is currently glossed. There isn’t really a reason why it would be restricted to things and not persons. Also the phrase is хуй зна́ет, much more common than the ”full” хуй его́ зна́ет. “Nobody knows”. The pronunciation is {{ru-IPA|хе-зе́}}, I have heard it a lot in trashy videostreams. - I can't help, but compare Russian чёрт его знает (čort jevo znajet). Per utramque cavernam 18:30, 2 February 2019 (UTC)
