@Atitarev Did you see my comment on your talk page about the order of bianimate words? In this word, for example, using |a=bi
puts "masculine animate" before "masculine inanimate" although that's opposite to the order of the definitions. Should we worry about this? Benwing2 (talk) 03:25, 9 November 2015 (UTC)
- It depends on the word, really. It is a bit of a concern, if the order of definitions don't match, if one of animate/inanimate is undefined and users may get confused into thinking that inanimate sense can be animate or vice versa. If the order can be forced, it would be great. Probably hard to determine a rule exactly. "стартер" is mainly perceived as a car part, so showing animate first (person who gives the signal to start) is a bit of a problem, not huge. --Anatoli T. - Yeah, I can add another variant of the animacy parameter that forces the inanimate to come first. I'm thinking
|a=ai
=|a=bi
puts animate first, and|a=ia
puts inanimate first. Do you think this makes sense or is it confusing? Benwing2 (talk) 04:06, 9 November 2015 (UTC)- That's fine, thanks. I'd appreciate if you document it, though, as you normally do :). --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 04:10, 9 November 2015 (UTC)
- Of course. I'm a bit of a stickler for documentation in the code that I write. Benwing2 (talk) 04:13, 9 November 2015 (UTC)
