@Wikitiki89, Atitarev, Cinemantique This noun has two declensions listed. One has nom sg. ноль vs. stem нул-. That looks seriously suspect to me. Wrong? Benwing2 (talk) 12:07, 16 September 2015 (UTC)
- It is correct, but perhaps they should be merged into one table. --WikiTiki89 13:41, 16 September 2015 (UTC)
- Or perhaps not, as that may make it a bit confusing. --WikiTiki89 13:46, 16 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Benwing2, Wikitiki89 I missed that discussion, sorry and the table merger. I disagree it was "correct". Forms with "о" should only belong to ноль and forms with "у" should go to нуль. They are synonyms (with different pronunciations) or alt forms of each other but should have separate declensions. Compare "colors" is a plural of "color" but not "colour". I'm afraid the generated inflected forms should be fixed as well. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 05:34, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
- @Atitarev Zaliznyak appears to disagree. His entry under ноль says м 2b [// нуль] (в матем. знач. обычно нуль; в прочих знач.—И. ед. и В. ед. преимущ. ноль, остальные формы преимущ. от нуль) Benwing2 (talk) 05:39, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
- OK, thanks. I have reverted my edit. Still feeling a bit strange about it, even if the comment makes sense. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 05:43, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
- Yeah, it looks strange to me too. BTW I am right in the way I glossed ноль-ноль? And what part of speech is this? Benwing2 (talk) 06:28, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
- Must be a numeral, not sure, = :00. Example: "встречаемся на вокзале в 16:00 (шестнадцать ноль-ноль)" - "we are meeting at the station at 4 pm (sharp)".--Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 07:21, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
- Is it invariable? If so, it's probably an adverb. If it's declined, it's probably a noun. Benwing2 (talk) 07:22, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
- Invariable, pronounced "но̀ль-но́ль". --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 07:52, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks! I created an entry for ноль-ноль. Benwing2 (talk) 10:21, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
- Invariable, pronounced "но̀ль-но́ль". --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 07:52, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
