@Atitarev Ivanova only has one pronunciation, and that is without secondary accent, corresponding to your version #3 without schwa. She specifically underlines the трд sequence, which means "pronounce as written (and don't insert a schwa)". Avanesov meanwhile says "мѐтрдоте́ль [доп. мэ̀; факульт. до; тэ́]", which corresponds exactly to your #1 and #2. Reznichenko says essentially the same thing as Avanesov. @Atitarev Also, I removed the annotations (usually used for variants with differing primary stress, and not usually used to indicate phonetic spelling) and replaced the tilde variants with separate lines. I agree that the tilde variants look nice but they aren't properly supported (e.g. the word ends up in Category:Russian 6-syllable words). Benwing2 (talk) 02:07, 25 July 2017 (UTC)

@Atitarev If you really like the tilde variants I can look into what is needed to support them. At the least, I'll have to change the code that counts syllables, and my bot code to generate pronunciations for non-lemma forms. Possibly the {{ru-IPA}} code will need a few tweaks as well. @Benwing2 I am OK with our current notation but I don't mind the tilde either. Thanks for checking. I don't consider the shwa pronunciation standard. A well-known example with the shwa is in this "блатная песня" (roughly "an underworld song") [1]. I am afraid you have to find the occurrence yourself, can't listen to it right now. BTW, let me know if you like Russian songs, I can give you some advise, which ones are good for learning or just enjoying but I am a bit old-fashioned. --Anatoli T. ^{(обсудить}/^вклад) 02:49, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
