Vasmer's dictionary has no entry for йогурт, but only for яурт and translates it with German Joghurt. Is this a dated spelling? The uſer hight Bogorm converſation 07:29, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

- I think йогурт is a modern borrowing from English. That’s why Vasmer doesn’t have it. And yes, яурт is never used now. --Vahagn Petrosyan 16:54, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
- It's disputable, Mechnikov used word "йогурт" in his work of 19th century "Этюды оптимизма". --Jaroslavleff 17:15, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
