@Atitarev, Cinemantique, Wikitiki89, Wanjuscha, Per utramque cavernam, Guldrelokk The auto-generated pronunciation is [ɪn⁽ʲ⁾sʲtʲɪnkˈtʲivnə]. Awhile ago I added [ɪnstʲɪnkˈtʲivnə] as well, although I don't know why at this point. Is this second pronunciation correct, and if so, is it a special case or does it apply to all words with [нсть] in them? Benwing2 (talk) 19:47, 13 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Benwing2: Instinctively, I think there should be no palatalisation after n but it’s better to check against some references. Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 21:41, 13 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Atitarev Maybe User:Cinemantique can answer. Ivanova normally indicates assimilative palatalization of [ндь], [сть], etc. but has no such indication by инстинктивный and институт, so maybe there is none. Benwing2 (talk) 21:51, 13 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Avanesov: инстинкти́вный... [сьть и сть], Kalenckuk/Kasatkina: инстинкти́вный [нст’] и допуст. [нс’т’]. [n] should be hard, according to these dictionaries.--Cinemantique (talk) 15:31, 14 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
