@Atitarev, Cinemantique, Wikitiki89 ruwiki claims the short fem sg adj of должный is до́лжна, whereas we claim it's должна́. Which is correct? Or both? Benwing2 (talk) 10:53, 1 January 2016 (UTC)

"должна́" is definitely correct ("(she) must" or "(she) owes"), there may be some obscure usage for "до́лжна" but I don't know it. I think it's probably just a mistake in ruwiki. --Anatoli T. ^{(обсудить}/^вклад) 11:21, 1 January 2016 (UTC)

"должно́" is also correct as a predicative and "до́лжно" as a short adj form (according to some sources) and (dated) = ну́жно, сле́дует, необходи́мо. (I am a bit confused now.) --Anatoli T. ^{(обсудить}/^вклад) 11:48, 1 January 2016 (UTC)

@Cinemantique The article mentions ruwiki, criticising for misleading users together with gramota.ru :) Also calling @Stephen G. Brown, Wanjuscha, Vahagn Petrosyan, sorry, it seems должно needs some attention. I could use some help there. Do you agree with the author of the topic?

1. до́лжно
   • наречие, слово категории состояния – сказуемое в предложении односоставном безличном;
   • наречие – обстоятельство образа действия;
2. должно́
   • наречие – вводное слово;
   • краткое прилагательное – сказуемое в предложениях двусоставном и односоставном безличном.
