(Notifying Atitarev, Cinemantique, Useigor, Wikitiki89, Stephen G. Brown, Guldrelokk, Fay Freak, Tetromino, Per utramque cavernam): Can you help with the definition? I'm having a hard time understanding exactly what this verb means. Benwing2 (talk) 15:04, 17 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Benwing2: This is rare. From "Энциклопедический словарь. 2009.": Рассогласовать - рассогласовывать действие кого-, чего-л., нарушить - нарушать сложившиеся связи, отношения. E.g. Такая жизнь дезадаптирует кого хочешь. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 00:44, 18 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
It's hard to determine a good translation of дезадаптировать out of context. The best single translation that I can think of is decondition. Other words come to mind, but I'm not sure that they really exist in English: misadapt, maladapt, maladjust. Maybe, to break established ties/relationships, or to prepare someone or something for a purpose that is already obsolete. —Stephen (Talk) 00:51, 18 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
I would translate it as "to make maladapted" or "to isolate", depending on context. (Already updated in the article.) Tetromino (talk) 01:16, 18 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
