Is there any strict evidence of borrowing of this word to Ukrainian from Armenian? For me it seems very improbable Alexdubr 23:46, 23 November 2011 (UTC)

It does not say that it was borrowed from the Armenian, only that it is related to the Armenian. It is also related to Russian голья. The Russian word, the Ukrainian word, and the Armenian word all descended from proto-Indo-European *gol-. —Stephen ^(Talk) 10:10, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
