@Atitarev The stress for the pre-1918 Russian variant is different from the modern Russian stress, which seems weird. Benwing2 (talk) 15:20, 21 June 2020 (UTC)

@Benwing2: Thank you. I have fixed my old edit. I am actually not certain about the older stress and it's hard to check. "Со́фия" is the older stress pattern, hence Со́фья (Sófʹja). http://kulturamovy.univ.kiev.ua/KM/pdfs/Magazine36-12.pdf (Ukrainian) talks about the shift in the stress for certain female given names in Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian and stress variants, which are still preserved in modern names. --Anatoli T. ^{(обсудить}/^вклад) 22:06, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
