@Atitarev, Cinemantique, Wikitiki89, Wanjuscha, Per utramque cavernam, Guldrelokk In Альфред Бернхард Нобель, which of the е's are non-palatal? Benwing2 (talk) 16:23, 2 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

The one in Альфред is. Guldrelokk (talk) 16:36, 2 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Benwing2 Нобель is also metonymically used for the Nobel prize. Should this perhaps be reflected? Guldrelokk (talk) 19:43, 2 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Guldrelokk I think so. Is it still capitalized then? Benwing2 (talk) 19:46, 2 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Benwing2: Yes, here are examples. Guldrelokk (talk) 19:48, 2 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Guldrelokk: Interesting, those examples seem to suggest that Нобель is still animate even when referring to the prize. This seems odd to me but maybe it makes sense to a native Russian speaker. Benwing2 (talk) 19:54, 2 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Benwing2: In Бернхард "е" can be palatal and non-palatal. And yes, Нобель is animate in the sense "Nobel prize". --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 22:11, 2 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
