It's just pronounced as the unabbreviated phrase. I don't think we need pronunciation sections for abbreviations that are pronounced unabbreviated. --WikiTiki89 15:08, 17 November 2015 (UTC)

Perhaps a usage note indicating the pronunciation is as unabbreviated? Otherwise how is the user going to know that e.g. ГРУ is pronounced as an acronym, but ВОВ isn't? Also, Anatoli edited the pronunciation entry but left it as [vof], so he may disagree with you. Benwing2 (talk)

Maybe it is sometimes pronounced [vof]. The user will know that ГРУ is pronounced as an acronym, because it will have a pronunciation section. --WikiTiki89 15:45, 17 November 2015 (UTC)

Abbreviations are a bit of a dark area. A colloquial way is often better, rather than a "prescribed" way. The prescribed or standard pronunciations for abbreviations are often ignored, e.g. США, СССР. Just [vof] is fine in this case, IMO. --Anatoli T. ^{(обсудить}/^вклад) 12:04, 18 November 2015 (UTC)
