IPA "key"

I'm often mystified by the IPA keys that a lot of Wiktionary entries link to, as the pronunciations tend to contain characters that cannot be found in the linked keys. And in the case of παράδεισος, the IPA "key" leads to a massive Wikipedia article on Ancient Greek phonology, which certainly doesn't provide the rapid access to deciphering pronunciation that an actual key does.
