[edit]I don't know how to add it: Category:Greek words suffixed with -άρχης Thanks, sarri.greek (talk) 21:29, 30 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Sarri.greek: It's added with the
{{affix}}
or{{suffix}}
templates:{{affix|el|μόνος|t1=only|-άρχης|t2=ruler}}
or{{suffix|el|μόνος|t1=only|άρχης|t2=ruler}}
. I like to use{{affix}}
, because it's clearer if the hyphen is visible in the wikitext. — Eru·tuon 00:39, 1 December 2017 (UTC) - (And these templates go in the Etymology section, in case that isn't clear.) — Eru·tuon 00:40, 1 December 2017 (UTC)
- In this case, because the Modern Greek term descends from Ancient Greek, we would usually write "equivalent to
{{affix|el|μόνος|t1=only|-άρχης|t2=ruler}}
" to indicate that the compounding did not happen in the Modern Greek era. (That is also done for many English words that were formed in Old or Middle English, like only.) — Eru·tuon 00:41, 1 December 2017 (UTC)- sorry @Erutuon: I don't understand computer lang. I just wanted to add this page. sarri.greek (talk) 16:16, 1 December 2017 (UTC)
