@Sarri.greek: that was very good! I've reviewed it a bit. To mention a Modern Greek descendant in an Ancient Greek entry, you have to use the header ====Descendants====. --Barytonesis (talk) 10:29, 19 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Barytonesis: yes, but they make us put it faaaar away. When it is a part of Etymo. Shouldn't it be under Etymo section? Also, this is not a descendant, it is just the same word surviving intact. I am obsessed with this 'descendant' characterization of identical words. Διάλειμμα is διάλειμμα. A surviving word. Others, are descendants indeed: e.g. αρουραίος is a descendant of ἄρουρα. ++no that's a deriv.πόλη descend. FROM πόλις++ How is it possible for new concepts-headings to be admitted in wiktionaries? I presume in greek and Chinese or more lang, the Survivors are a special subject. sarri.greek (talk) 10:43, 19 November 2017 (UTC) ++got better exampleReply

[edit]

Just curious, I'll try to find out myself:

  • 1 why <ref></ref> in ancient greek etymo behaved weird: it went to reference of Greek section. And then i added <reference > at ancient references, but again it looked weird
  • 2 offical policy at Example_sentences says for languages other than English, a translation is to be given in the line below (i.e. below the sentence or below the transcription), with an additional level of indentation: “#::” How do i do it? OK Done done
  • 3 trial translations section here
  • 4 How are sister inter-wikts added at the left-hand menu 'Languages'?

Bary, you dont' have to reply this... I don't want you to spend all your time with me :) sarri.greek (talk) 14:48, 19 November 2017 (UTC) and added 3, 4 sarri.greek (talk) 20:31, 19 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
