@Languageseeker Hi. Does head in the clouds really fit? Our definition says it's "Used to indicate that a person has fantastic or impractical dreams", but the French expression doesn't mean that, imo. PUC – 12:59, 3 February 2021 (UTC)
- {{ping|PUC} Hmm, this one proved harder than I thought. As far as I understand, this expression means "to be so lost in unproductive thought that it appears that the person is in a different place." [1] To distract usually means "to have one's attention removed by something or somebody in the real world" while to be absent-minded is generally a synonym for "to be forgetful" neither seemed to convey the meaning. I've worked on this a bit more to try and find the English equivalent. Let me know what you think. Languageseeker (talk) 15:58, 3 February 2021 (UTC)
