Eventual, in English, is usually used to mean "eventually resulting" not "possibly". The translation originally given here of the example phrase as "In case of eventual accident" is therefore not correct. This would mean "if, in the end, you have an accident" rather than "if you have an accident"!
This is a fairly typical mistake seen in english made by, for example, german and french speakers.
