@Glades12 I'm just pinging you to tell you that Swedish alltid is not cognate with this word; the expected Swedish cognate would be *ätid or *etid (cf. evar, eho, ehuru). Icelandic æ is an adverb meaning forever; like in the archaic Swedish phrase "ä och ä" (= alltid och alltid). See SAOB for more information.
