- (†Stegocephalia, archaic) A taxonomic order within the class Amphibia – all extinct large salamander-like amphibians, the Labyrinthodontia.
- A taxonomic clade within the clade Tetrapodomorpha – containing all vertebrates with toes rather than fins, as well as a few of the most closely related lobe-finned fish.
