Ultimately, an alternative spelling of Cinco, originally from Hokkien (Gô͘), via Hispanicization of Chinese surname  / (Gô͘) by similar sounding Calque of Hokkien (gǒ͘, five) to Spanish cinco (five), and then later Filipinized through Filipino orthography.
