[edit]Ultimately, an alternative spelling of Cinco, originally from Hokkien 吳/吴 (Gô͘), via Hispanicization of Chinese surname 吳/吴 (Gô͘) by similar sounding Calque of Hokkien 五 (gǒ͘, “five”) to Spanish cinco (“five”), and then later Filipinized through Filipino orthography.
