Production
[edit]- This one-handed ASL sign is produced as follows:
- Posture the dominant hand in the “S” handshape within a couple of inches from the base (elbow end) of the nondominant forearm, dominant palm facing up.
- Move the hand back and forth, toward and away from the base of the forearm.
- Posture the dominant hand in the “S” handshape at the base (elbow end) of the nondominant forearm, dominant palm facing up.
- When used as a verb, there is just one movement toward the arm instead of a repeated movement back and forth.
