[edit]Compound of ryk + -s- + rie. Calqued, in one case from Danish rigsråd. Compare Bavarian Reichsrat, Danish rigsråd, Dutch rijksraad, Faroese ríkisráð, German Reichsrat, Icelandic ríkisráð, Norwegian Bokmål riksråd, Norwegian Nynorsk riksråd, and Swedish riksråd.
