[edit]Also seen as Ancient Greek Ῥήδονες (Rhḗdones), Ῥηΐδονες (Rhēḯdones); the name means "those who use chariots" or "those who ride well," from Gaulish *reda (“chariot”), from Proto-Celtic *rēdo- (“to ride; riding, chariot”), from Proto-Indo-European *(H)reydʰ- (“to ride”). Cognate with modern Welsh gorwydd.
