All the languages require an umlaut trigger. Even Dutch, I think, because shortening before consonant clusters is earlier than /uː/ > /yː/ if I'm not mistaken. In OHG, forms in -eon, -en are apparently attested (see Köbler). 92.218.236.219 12:07, 19 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
