@BurakD53 What are these supposed to mean? Orexan (talk) 08:24, 21 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Because it doesn't happen in every word and is the result of the long vowel. BurakD53 (talk) 15:00, 21 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
@BurakD53 Isn't consonant assimilation one of the most characteristic grammar rules in Turkic languages and very common in Oghuz dialects? Also, the irregular stem can be displayed at the head template in the entry page and again in its Declension table, which I don't mind adding in a second. I just don't see how the word endings changing is relevant to a Descendants table. Orexan (talk) 15:48, 21 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
In monosyllabic words, it is voiced depending on the long vowel. The -nç structure is mostly voiced in Turkish, you are right. But in other cases this does not apply. For example, "kart" > "karTım", while "art" > "arDım". "sırt" > "sırTım" while "dört" > "dörDüm". It is historically regular. I chose this so that the difference in the Oghuzs would be clear. @BurakD53 To me that seems more fitting of a Usage notes section. As it stands, the words are just hanging there with a (-) at the end. I thought they were supposed to be verbs or something. Orexan (talk) 16:31, 21 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
OK. You can remove them if it will have a usage note. BurakD53 (talk) 16:35, 21 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
