Old Turkic /bodu-/ and modern languages reflecting /*boda-/ rather suggest the root should be *bodo-. Old Turkic bodu- cant be derived from *boda- --Anylai (talk) 15:18, 4 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Turkic languages can't have o vowel in second syllables. This is a late phonetic change in some Turkic languages and is still rare. That's why *bodo- can't be a variant. BurakD53 (talk) 16:48, 4 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
