@Greenismean2016, we should be careful with this one. In principle, *slizь (mucus, slime) is a feminine i-stem noun that gave Russian: слизь (slizʹ). The masculine yo-stem *slizь (from an earlier *slizъ) means slug (or mollusc in general) and in Modern Russian is represented by слизень (slizenʹ) (the form слиз (sliz), I believe, is archaic).
