Add topicSoft ū-stems?
[edit]@Rua My data does not completely add up. Boryś gives nom. sg. *nьkťi, gen. sg. *nьkťьve. ЭССЯ writes it has a secondary paradigm on *-ū basis, ascribing a gen. sg. ending -ъve. Yet their headword is nьkťьvy pl, with front yer, as it must be because of the soft *ť. How is this possible? All the -ū stems have -ъv-, consequantially I cannot make a ū-stem declension table automatically with *nьkťi, but with the soft *ť they want ьv. ЭССЯ might mean it was a ū-stem but became an a-stem in Proto-Slavic, then it works, however then OCS нъштвы is expected and not нъштви. Have they ignored the contradictions and gone on? After checking the accounts of Old Church Slavonic or Proto-Slavic stems I cannot find a fitting paradigm. Fay Freak (talk) 02:45, 18 September 2019 (UTC)
