The first attestation of hanasu in Japanese dates to 1527 (https://wold.clld.org/word/61223172921814248). It may have spread via borrowing from Japanese instead of it being a genuine Proto-Japonic form. Kwékwlos (talk) 04:24, 15 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
