OJP source?

[edit]

@Chuterix, do you have a text for your addition of the OJP spelling 呉公? ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │Tala við mig 19:35, 19 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

※古事記(712)上(兼永本訓)「亦赤(あく)る日(ひ)の夜は呉公(ムカテ)と蜂(はち)との室に入れ」

From NKD2 entry @ Kotobank, see here Chuterix (talk) 21:34, 19 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Chuterix: Apologies, I should have been more specific. The Kojiki quote uses the spelling 呉公, devoid of phonetic information. We only get kundoku notes from the 兼永本訓 edition, which dates to the late 1500s -- see also w:ja:https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/古事記#.E5.8D.9C.E9.83.A8.E6.9C.AC.E7.B3.BB.E7.B5.B1:

伊勢本系統を除く写本は全て卜部本系統に属する。祖本は卜部兼永自筆本(上中下3巻。室町時代後期写)である。

Do you have any sources that include the word mukade with any phonetic spelling? If all we can find are semantic kanji spellings, then we really have no certainty regarding the phonetic realization of the word. ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │Tala við mig 00:40, 21 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
