- FWIW, that ONCOJ list has both ito and itwo. The point of note here is that itwo is only attested in Eastern Old Japanese (EOJ). The word 糸 (ito, itwo, “thread”) appears only once in phonetic man'yōgana anywhere in the MYS, in poem 20.4405 with the spelling 伊刀 (ito₂).
