Etymology of (s)kreybʰ-

[edit]

This page claims that (s)kreybʰ- is from PIE root sek-, which however fails to acknowledge back. PIE root (s)kreybʰ-, on the other hand, claims Latin scrībō and Ancient Greek σκάριφος, via (s)k(e)r-e-bʰ-, which is no doubt the same as (s)kreybʰ-. --Caoimhin (talk) 20:44, 3 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
