Pages for ǵʰrem- and gʰrem- in competition

[edit]

The pages for PIE roots *ǵʰrem- (to vex, torment; be angry, upset) and *gʰrem- (to resound, thunder, grumble, roar) seem to be in competition with one another, both claiming Proto-Germanic *gramjaną, *grimmaną, *grimmaz, for example. Caoimhin (talk) 21:10, 1 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Caoimhin: It caused a merger in non-Satem languages, so both is true. --Skiulinamo (talk) 19:52, 2 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
