[edit]

The following information has failed Wiktionary's deletion process (permalink).

It should not be re-entered without careful consideration.

Is this actually needed? I don't find any useful on these 2 - they appear just to be showing the Sanskrit descendant, the meaning and the PII word. I've fixed Special:WhatLinksHere/Reconstruction:Proto-Indo-Aryan/źʰansás and Special:WhatLinksHere/Reconstruction:Proto-Indo-Aryan/dáźʰati. 🔥शब्दशोधक🔥 17:00, 3 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Delete. Not just this but many other PIA entries here which are unsourced need to go. They only have one descendant - Sanskrit- which you might as well show on the PII page. I there should be sources mentioning PIA terms (eg Lubotsky, Goto, Kobayashi) or you have to have Mittani borrowings to make a PIA entry worthwhile. So these PIA lemmas which are "Wiktionary reconstructed" with no sources need to go. -- 𝓑𝓱𝓪𝓰𝓪𝓭𝓪𝓽𝓽𝓪(𝓽𝓪𝓵𝓴) 13:42, 4 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Bhagadatta: What has to be done? @Victar: You may give your vote. Thanks. 🔥शब्दशोधक🔥 07:06, 6 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
@शब्दशोधक: I already voted delete. -- 𝓑𝓱𝓪𝓰𝓪𝓭𝓪𝓽𝓽𝓪(𝓽𝓪𝓵𝓴) 11:35, 6 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

I see no reason to delete a reconstruction with two descendants. Keep Thadh (talk) 23:28, 25 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Thadh: It's actually just one descendant, since Kashmiri is itself a descendant of Sanskrit. @Bhagadatta, Victar 🔥शब्दशोधक🔥 07:02, 6 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
Oh, right, whoops... I've striked my vote and I believe deletion is okay in that case. Thadh (talk) 11:09, 6 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
