The adverbial forms come from the adverb listed here, the adjectival forms come from a derived *frōjaz > Old High German fruoi. Ancient Greek actually derived the same adjective πρώϊος (prṓïos) from their adverb as well. Anglom (talk) 21:31, 24 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
