Labiovelar

[edit]

West Germanic regularly delabialises all medial labiovelars. The fact that a labial is attested in this word suggests that the sequence was not -kw- but something else. —Rua (mew) 16:24, 11 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

It's possibly a compound *þreskwa- + *waþluz. Could that possibly make a difference ? Leasnam (talk) 02:38, 12 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
It's possible, but then so would *þreska-waþluz without any labiovelar. —Rua (mew) 08:22, 12 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
