The Finnish word should not be listed among the descendants, should it? Since Finnish is not Germanic and not even Indo-European, the word must be a loan (from Proto-Germanic) and loans should not be listed among descendants, should they? 85.229.0.13 23:22, 12 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

It's a loanword, but it was loaned straight from Proto-Germanic or an early dialect. We currently don't have a consistent way of indicating loanwords in lists of descendants. —CodeCat 23:51, 12 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
