Also found in Milan 4th Century Monastery as "Sanctus Ambrosius ad Nemus" - Cisalpine Gaul. Still extant.

[edit]

The name is documented in the Ambrosian tradition of the Church of Milan as the place visited by Saint Ambrose as woodland retreat. The extant baroque building stands now little used; but the ancient name persists also in the tradition of Lombard literature. 86.31.122.99 21:30, 15 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
