[edit]Sometimes compared to Proto-Turkic *em- (“to suck”), Proto-Yukaghir *iw- (“to suck”), whence Northern Yukaghir иби (ibi), and Proto-Chukotko-Kamchatkan *inmə- (“to swallow”), whence Alutor инмын (inmən).
