Reconstruction:Proto-Turkic/yïlïm
Appearance
Proto-Turkic
[edit]Etymology
[edit]The archaic form probably is *(y)ilim since seems related to *īl- (“to catch, hold; to hang”). Compare Old Turkic 𐰃𐰞𐰃𐰤 (ilin-, “to be caught”).
