  1. It takes the part up to the first vowel of the adjective to which it is added.
    *kara (black) + ‎*-p- → ‎*kapkara (so black, jet-black)
    *yeŋgül (lightweight) + ‎*-p- → ‎*yepyeŋgül (so light (weight))
    *uŕïn (long) + ‎*-p- → ‎*upuŕïn (so long)
