[edit]Etymology
[edit]Possibly from Proto-Indo-European *ǵʰrḗm-s-t ~ *ǵʰrém-s-ént, from *ǵʰrem- (“to vex; to be angry”). Alternatively from a lenghthened grade intensive of Proto-Indo-European *gʰres-, with cognates only seen in the Baltic languages, such as Lithuanian grasa (“threat”).[1]
