[edit]Akin to Proto-Finnic *uksi (“door”), possibly borrowed from it; Udmurt ӧс (ös, “door”), Komi-Permyak ӧдзӧс (ödźös, “door”) and Komi-Zyrian ыбӧс (ybös, “door”) may also be related in some fashion, although no Uralic root can be set up.
