Proto-Permic

Reconstruction notes

[edit]
  • The Komi descendant points to an extended form *woľj-, but since the *-j- often arises secondarily, and no other descendants are attested, it is not certain whether this form can be traced back to the original Proto-Permic noun.

Perhaps related to Proto-Finnic *voodëk (bed).
