Reconstruction notes

[edit]

In Zan and Svan the expected *ჯგ ← *ჯ (*cg ← *c) consonant cluster didn't develop due to dissimilation. For more examples of this, compare *ḳrč̣-, *ḳreč̣-, *ḳuč̣-, *mč̣ax-, *mǯuɣ-, *ṭq̇laš-, *keš-, *ɣeč̣-, *ɣoč̣-, *ɣreǯ-, *ɣrǯ-, *čeḳ-, *čig-, *č̣iḳ-, *ǯex-, *ǯɣlem-.
