[edit]*-n- + *-éh₂, possibly reanalyzed from deadjectival nouns in *-nós (compare the zero-grade formation of *tn̥-néh₂), but with the ablaut pattern taken from *(o)-éh₂. In some cases thematicized from an n- or r/n-stem, e.g. *h₁osnéh₂.
